Native of Phoenix. Born and raised. Studied at Arizona State University. Spent 12 years in the US Army. Worked for two US Senators, including one from Arizona. Resided in and traveled throughout Arizona. Jeff’s initial exposure to economic and workforce development came as a consultant representing the public policy interests of small, rural communities. Repeatedly heard the need for better economic, workforce, housing, community, and infrastructure development in rural towns where aging structures and infrastructure became barriers to economic improvement and business development. Directly involved in primarily rural development projects and initiatives for 20 years. Also involved in community planning and development, including as Community Development Director for an Arizona county. Recently located to Flagstaff, as the Economic Development Manager for the City of Flagstaff. Among his driving beliefs, Jeff’s focal point is supporting local businesses in their efforts to expand and thrive. Relationships and partnerships are essential to that objective. Still meeting local business leaders, learning details of the Flagstaff market, and strategies to best connect local business with resources.
